Agrace is seeking an experienced Community Grief Specialist to help those struggling with loss by providing grief counseling services to individuals and groups.
The Community Grief Specialist facilitates support groups for Agrace families and community members as well as provides consultation and education to community groups, faith communities, and educational institutions and participating in Agrace memorial events. This person will also periodically facilitate children's grief groups in schools throughout our territory.
Other duties include responding to grief support requests from community members, agency partners and others in the Agrace service areas; assessing the level of grief needs for community requests and making appropriate referrals to other community resources when necessary; and acting as a liaison to relevant community resources for ongoing counseling, spiritual support or other mental health concerns.
The Community Grief Specialist travels and works throughout Agrace's service area including working at the Grief Center.
A valid driver's license, insurance and use of vehicle in reliable working condition
